Cross Train

One of the most common sources of injury is overuse. If you continually workout the same family of muscles, you will end up neglecting the rest. You will also weary the muscles, leading to damage. The only way to avoid this, is to vary your workouts. You don’t have to participate in a dozen sports – just change it up a little. For instance, you can ride your bike instead of running or take a bootcamp class in addition to lifting. Using your muscles in different ways is one of the best ways you can protect yourself. It will also prevent you from getting bored, which can demolish your motivation.

Keep records and follow a program

How can you stay motivated when you can’t measure there results of your hard work? If you don’t have a plan, you can get fit, but you will never reach your optimal fitness, because you don’t know where that is. Talk with the trainers at Thrive Fitness, and we will help you identify and achieve your goal.
