The holidays may be over, but the winter nights are still long, and the weather is not friendly. What’s more, there are holidays that people don’t consider, like Superbowl Sunday, Valentine’s Day, and St. Patrick’s Day. Combine everything and you can be in bad shape when spring starts rolling around. Luckily, this doesn’t have to happen!

There are many great things you can do to stay active and comfortable all winter long. In the next three blogs, we will share some great tips for staying fit during winter.

  1. Set a goal for the spring.
    • This goal can be anything from taking a vacation, running a race, or a fitness competition. Make sure it’s something you want to do!
  2. Go crazy doing winter sports.
    • There are sports you can do in winter that aren’t possible the rest of the year. Get into skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, or snowball fights. Just get out and enjoy the snow.
  3. Invest in some new gear.
    • It’s amazing how buying new gear can motivate you to work out. Buy some new shoes or clothes.
  4. Hire a trainer at Thrive fitness for the winter months.
